Unakite

Unakite is composed of green epidote and pink orthoclase feldspar together with quartz and is usually mottled in appearance. Its name comes from the Unakas mountains in North Carolina where it was first discovered.

Unakite is associated with all chakra points, especially the heart. It is very balancing and nurturing. It teaches patience and persistence and is a stone for true spiritual seekers who wish to hold steadfast to their chosen path.

Physically, Unikite is said to aid in promoting the growth of healthy tissue and can be useful in recovery from injury. It is also said to be particularly useful in support of the heart and lungs and treating diseases or cancers of these areas.

Sue Weaver Crystals;

Unakite is a lovely pink and green granite-like stone. The pink is feldspar and the green is epidote, and the two blend together to create a beautiful stone that resonates with the heart centre and brings balance.

This frequency is not one of personal, romantic, or any love between humans. This stone helps us to connect with the natural world at a spiritual level, and remind us of our place in the circle of life. If you feel drawn to meet with the devas of the flowers, the herbs, the mosses, the ponds and streams and rocks, try meditating with Unakite. If you feel disconnected from Life, place a Unakite Heart on your Heart Centre and ask to be shown how to remember that you are a part of all that is.

My experience of living with Unakite;

What a beautiful crystal! Every day this week, I felt a need to be out in nature. I have felt an overwhelming appreciation of all the wonderful flowers, birds, rocks and the ocean. I have been photographing so many beautiful scenes and felt the need to share my appreciation of mother earth with anyone who will listen. I have certainly felt a connection with the natural world.

Another thing I have noticed this week is my need for patience. Nothing can be forced, everything has to be allowed to flow. My personal mantra continues to be “Everything is always working out for me”.
