Peridot is a type of Olivine which is a silicate mineral. Peridot is often very small in size and one of the very few crystals that comes in only one colour – green, which is due to the iron content. Peridot is formed in molten rock and brought to the surface by earthquakes and volcanoes. It has also been found in meteorites and a NASA spacecraft has identified Peridot on the Moon and also on Mars.
Peridot is associated with the sun and since the earliest civilization has been used to drive away darkness. It can help to remove negative repeating patterns that hold us back from feeling that we deserve success. It assists us in having courage to act out our hearts desires, live our own lives and draw wisdom from the abundance of experience.
Peridot can help alleviate fear, guilt, anxiety and impatience. It can help us to admit our mistakes and also forgive ourselves. Peridot placed over the heart can help to alleviate destructive jealousy or self-doubt as a result of past relationships.
Peridot is cleansing and detoxifying. It is good for the digestive system and helps to aid optimal functioning of the liver, gall bladder, pancreas and spleen. Peridot can also help in the recovery from tobacco or inhalant dependencies, as well as other addictions.

My experience of living with Peridot
Following the motivation that I had with Tigers Eye, the momentum kept going when I was working with Peridot. Having decided to pull up the carpet in my bedroom the previous week, I then spent a number of days sanding the floorboards.
I also decided that I would give up my accounting career and just focus on my crystal healing and other energy based work. I made this decision on my own, without asking for advice from anyone else. This is a new thing for me and I felt so strong in my independence and motivation. I know that my path is to help others and I trust that everything will work out well. I have found the courage to act out my hearts desires.
