Bloodstone
Bloodstone, also known as Heliotrope, is a type of jasper or chalcedony, which is a cryptocrystalline mixture of quartz. It is green jasper with red inclusions of hematite or iron oxide. There are many legends from ancient times regarding the bloodstone and it was used as a talisman in many different magical and mystical ways. Red Jasper is another member of the quartz family. Jaspers are opaque microcrystalline quartz which come in many colours and often with patterns depending on the inclusions. Garnet
